Digital Faerie

Digital Faerie is a professional multi media artist from the West Midlands.  Her work is eclectic in it's form and incorporates fine art, ceramics, digital video, animation, sculpture, installation and digital art forms.

Layla completed her degree in Interactive Arts at University of Wales College Newport in 1999.

For the main part Layla investigates conditioned notions of beauty and deformity by taking her own disability as the subject matter of her artworks.

In authoring the image off the odd body (and her own body) in videos, photographs and paintings, she contests the objectifying gaze of others, creating a space for depicting her everyday experience.

She not only explores the fears and loneliness of ostracism, but also proposes an alternative aesthetic of beauty.

The axis of beauty/ugliness and normal/deformed plays out in both the subject matter of her work and it's formal aspect, which shifts between the 'aesthetically pleasing' and 'challenging'.

Jilly Mint

Lois Winfield lives in Northamptonshire with her family and three West Highland White terriers. She graduated from De Montfort University with a BSc (Hons) First Class degree in Textile Design and Production.

‘Colour and design have always been a passion of mine’ says Lois when interviewed on why she started Jilly Mint.
‘I wanted to use my skills and passion to create and grow a lifestyle business that would be compatible with my personality as I soon discovered 9 to 5 in an office was not for me. Jilly Mint is stimulating, exciting and incredibly satisfying.’

Lois believes that women want individuality, colour and style, something different from what is available on the high street and Jilly Mint is her vehicle to provide this.

Poupa Litza

Born in Tunisia, Litza Chemla, very early baptized "Minnie" by her family and her friends is a contemporary creator.

Her first company "Ton sur ton" was a very trendy brand at the beginning of the 90s. Minnie then returned to Paris and  "Guimaufolies" was born, this cunning, playful  concept consisted of toys and objects made of marshmallows.  Minnie’s second episode saw the creation of a conceptstore  in “le quartier des Halles” à Paris: " Le vrai chic parisien".

And now Minnie introduces us to Poupa Litza. This enchanting boutique lies in the heart of the ancient Medina in Essaouira and boasts some of the most beautiful, individual & innovative designs I have seen during my travels.

Minnie’s workshop is like an Aladdin’s cave, full of leathers, pearls and exotic fabrics among which the peculiarity, the originality and the decoration are very … Poupa Litza!

Liz Linda

Liz Linda was created by Rosana Constantino Hernandez. Her philosophy of making hand crafted pieces that are truly unique and stylish has gradually been perfected over time, yet she's always relied on her rich Brazilian culture and colorful landscape for inspiration.

At an early age, Rosana was exposed to fashion and commerce at her family's market in Brazil. This was a place where jeans, handbags, and flip-flops could be purchased right along with a litre of milk.  She later went on to attend the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston where she refined her fashion sense and grew a passion for expressing her culture through her designs.

Today, back in Brazil, her fashions are now sold worldwide, but her work still proudly showcases true Brazilian style and craftsmanship.

Liz Linda's designs are a unique mixture of Rosana's own style combined with the craft of local Brazilian artisans. Her designs incorporate techniques handed down from past generations and are brought up to date with modern styling and functionality.

Each and every Liz Linda hand crafted design is a one-of-a-kind work of wearable art. Not only are they beautiful and practical, but they also help support small family communities in Brazil through their production in a sustainable business model that pays fair wages to local craft-workers and minimizes the impact of production on the environment.
